GFL is the trash service company for Summit Crossings HOA. Please find below some helpful information regarding trash, recyclables, and yard waste service. Please reach out to Rob Walker at

Please remember to bring in your trash receptacles within 24 hours of placing them out on Thursday morning. Receptacles should be placed out before 7 am Thursday morning. Trash receptacles cannot be stored in the front or side of your home. If trash receptacles are stored in front or side of your home, you'll receive a warning from the HOA to discontinue this practice. If it continues, the HOA can levy a fine of $50 per day until the infraction is corrected.
Please remember GFL will not pick up extra trash outside the container unless it has a sticker on it. You can contact GFL for stickers at the cost of 5 for $10 and have it charged to you. You can contact them at 816-380-5595. Excess recyclable material must be placed adjacent to the cart in boxes or rigid containers. Bagged recyclables will not be collected.
Year-round yard waste pick-up - max of 10 bags per pickup.
Bulk Item Pick-up. Each home can have a bulk item pick-up twice per quarter. If you would like to have an item picked up, please contact GFL customer service at 816-389-5595 to arrange for pickup.

Acceptable items include newspapers, magazines, phone books, catalogs, junk mail, envelopes, file folders,
computer paper, construction paper, colored paper, flattened corrugated cardboard boxes, cereal and
soda/beer boxes, gift boxes, and wrapping paper. Containers including aluminum cans, aluminum foil,
plastic bottles, jugs, metal cans, buckets, and other plastic containers (#1 through #7). Glass, Plastic Bags, and Styrofoam will not be accepted.
Yard waste will consist of grass clippings, leaves, loose vegetation, small limbs, and branches. Yard waste must be placed in biodegradable paper bags; or bundled and nearly placed at the curb for collection. Limbs and branches cannot be larger than 18 inches in diameter, four feet in length, and must be tied in a bundle with twine. All items must be 40 pounds or less in weight. Plastic bags will not be accepted. Wood fencing, landscape timbers, flowerpots, yard decorations, mulch, rock, dirt, and similar items will not be accepted. GFL will accept Christmas trees that have been cut into sections no more than four feet in length and all decorations and lights removed.
